Special Purchase Veg Tan Sides - D Grade
2-3 oz. D grade. Average size 27-30 sq ft. Sold by the sq ft. We will cut.
Not be outdone by Rusty’s recent leather buying adventures, Kevin has been on an adventure of his own! Seeing a desperate need for some pretty low grade, lightweight veg leather, Kevin mounted his trusty steed (aka Toyota Camry) and headed for a secret place, so dangerous he daren’t share it’s location with nary a soul, for only Kevin has the wits about him to get the goods and get out safely!
What I do know is that deep within the caverns of the Merrimack, is a hidden tunnel that defies space and time. I’ve heard stories round the leather table that this mysterious place is the closest thing to the land of the lost that Kevin ever did see...and it is there that he happened upon a herd of the biggest, meanest, scratchiest cow-a-sauruses he’s ever laid eyes on; just in time to witness the ancient molting ritual, in which they de-hair themselves and shed off perfectly tanned sides...it really is a sight to behold, Kevin assures us.
Fortunately for you, and the cow-a-sauruses, Kevin is a problem solver! Knowing the last thing those colossal beasts needed was to be trampling on and tripping over their old skins, Kevin generously offered to haul them away! This made life easier for those big ol’ bovines, and filled the need SLC had for some low grade tooling leather!
Now, keep in mind, those cow-asauruses are free-range critters...running around in a world where the biting bugs are as big as (or even bigger than) the dumb dogs that run around Springfield Leather! So you’re gonna see a fair bit of insect damage, as well as some scratches they’ve picked up trying to outrun the ginormous skeeters! There may be some other surface issues, on some sides more than others.
Another thing to keep in mind is that these are not little animals... some of the SIDES Kevin brought back are as big as 37 square feet, that’s flat out huge!!!
Now this is a low grade assortment of 2-3 oz. veg tanned sides, some will be better than others, none are perfect, but all would make great linings and interiors for sure! And for this price, you can afford to be as creative as you want to be!!! Order what you want, we’re happy to cut it for you!
